What about legal compliance?
SPCast hosts and processes streams in compliance with the GDPR and meets EU requirements without compromise. Unlike standard Shoutcast or Icecast setups, which are often operated without a data protection concept, the platform is designed for compliance from the ground up. IP addresses are automatically shortened and pseudonymized, no complete IPs are stored beyond the technically necessary minimum, no third-party cookies, no user tracking, and no transfer to external advertising networks or statistics services. Log data is reduced to a minimum, deleted after defined retention periods, and used exclusively for operational security and error analysis. All processing procedures meet the requirements for data minimization, purpose limitation, and user transparency under EU law. Where regional requirements dictate, operations are conducted exclusively in data centers within the EU without data transfer to third countries.
