Setup tutorial for the browser plugin of your radio station

This tutorial will guide you through setting up the browser plugin. Read carefully and no problems should arise.

Google Chrome

  1. Configure the plugin in the SPCast administration under “Browser plugin – Settings”.
  2. Navigate back to “Browser plugin – Dashboard” and click on “Download browser plugin” in the top right-hand corner.
  3. Register in Google’s developer store: https://www.spcast.eu/registrierung-im-chrome-web-store-entwickler-dashboard/
  4. Navigate to the developer dashboard: https://chrome.google.com/u/1/webstore/devconsole/
  5. Click on “New article” at the top right.
  6. Upload the archive in the developer store that you downloaded under point 2 and follow Google’s instructions and specifications to publish your radio in the store.

Microsoft Edge

  1. Configure the plugin in the SPCast administration under “Browser plugin – Settings”.
  2. Navigate back to “Browser plugin – Dashboard” and click on “Download browser plugin” in the top right-hand corner.
  3. Register in Microsoft’s developer store: https://developer.microsoft.com/de-de/microsoft-edge/extensions and click on “Log in to Partner Center”.
  4. Navigate to the developer dashboard: https://partner.microsoft.com/de-de/dashboard/microsoftedge/overview
  5. Click on “Create new extension” at the top left.
  6. Follow Microsoft’s instructions and upload the archive you downloaded under point 2 during the process.

Final note

The plugin is based on Google’s Chrome specifications. Browsers such as Microsoft Edge can also access Google’s Chrome Webstore. Firefox is not based on the Chrome engine and is therefore not currently supported by the plugin.
