How do I set up an encoder in mAirlist for my web radio?

Open mAirlist

First start mAirlist on your computer.

Open the control panel

Adding a new encoder

Click on the “Add” button to set up a new encoder. Select Shoutcast or Icecast from the selection list. Icecast is considered to be significantly better performing and is therefore recommended.

Setting up the encoder

To set up the broadcaster, you can simply view your access data in the dashboard of the SPCast product management. Alternatively, you can call up the access management and enter any moderator details directly in the mAirlist encoder.

Output audience figures in mAirlist

SPCast supports the output of listener numbers without further settings in mAirlist. Simply leave the check mark next to “Determine number of listeners” and mAirlist will output the listener numbers. The best thing about this feature is that, unlike traditional methods, this also works within the SPCast environment with moderator accounts created!
