Setting up an encoder in SAM Broadcaster is crucial to successfully broadcasting your radio program. In this step-by-step guide, we will show you how to do this effortlessly. Follow these instructions carefully to ensure your broadcast runs smoothly.<\/p>\n\n

Start the SAM Broadcaster<\/h2>\n\n

Start by opening SAM Broadcaster on your computer.<\/p>\n\n

Please note that SPCast also supports the Shoutcast encoder. Unfortunately, the entry of the SID in the SAM Broadcaster is limited to numbers in the Shoutcast setup. Basically, this is absolutely correct. However, we enable the connection via the Shoutcast encoder by specifying the mountpoint instead of the SID. In any case, we recommend using an Icecast encoder. If you would like to use a Shoutcast encoder for whatever reason, RadioBOSS <\/a>or mAirlist<\/a> could serve as replacement options for SAM Broadcaster. You may also be able to make changes by contacting Spacial Support.<\/p>\n\n

Older SAM Broadcaster versions<\/h2>\n\n

Versions of SAM Broadcaster such as 4.x, which do not have a field for entering the user name, should try the following options in the password field.<\/p>\n\n

  • username:password<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • username,password<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n

    Always ensure that user names and passwords are case-sensitive. If this does not work either, update SAM Broadcaster to be able to use modern Shoutcast V2 or Icecast V2 connections.<\/p>\n\n

    If this is also not an option, you must access the old Shoutcast V1 connections directly in AutoDJ. You may need to activate this option in AutoDJ first. Older SAM Broadcaster versions will also work with the data from AutoDJ.<\/p>\n\n
